Discussion Thread: Thanksgiving Food/Eating/Body Anxiety

[Content Note: Take note that participation within this thread calls for moving discussion of eating, disordered eating, food and the body regulating, dysfunctional and/or family dynamics, and anxiety. Proceed accordingly.]Tomorrow is Thanksgiving in america, that is an inherently problematic (colossal understatement) holiday for a lot of reasons: Its racist history its implicit enforcement of kyriarchal norms around "family" its preoccupation with gratitude for consumption that vanishes need and entrenches class privilege.Since it is each day focused on a feast, each day by which we should stuff ourselves until we distribute around the couch inside a food stupor, it's also each day that produces plenty of anxiety for those who have disordered eating and/or those who are obliged to invest your day with family people who food/body police.Thanksgiving could be a particularly vulnerable day for body fat people as well as for binge people in recovery. This is a thread to go over any food/eating/body anxiety you might have leading into Thanksgiving. Don't hesitate to solicit advice regarding how to react to expected food/body regulating. Please don't offer advice to anybody unless of course it's been clearly solicited.
